In Episode 06 of The Washed Process, Carter + Kenny talk with photographer, runner, and author Joe Greer, while sharing a delicious cup of coffee together from Super Thing Coffee Roasters based out of Austin, Texas. Joe walks us through his Chemex recipe to start the show.

Joe shares his journey and process of being captivated by the possibility of photography while studying theology in Spokane, Wa. He invites us into the process of his early days shooting on the iPhone, learning his way around DSLRs, and falling in love with film photography. Additionally, we talk about the mixed gratitude and danger of his relationship with his early Instagram days, how different thematic elements come alive through photographing on the street, what it means to make meaningful work as a person of faith while not overspiritualizing it, and how our life experiences impact what we make and gravitate toward.
