This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Hanwell, West London, UK, to discuss the case of 14-year-old Alice Gross. Alice left her home on August 28th, 2014, and was last captured on CCTV at 4:26 PM walking along the Grand Union Canal towpath towards Hanwell. Her disappearance led to the largest Metropolitan Police search operation since the 7/7 London bombings, involving over 600 officers. Sadly, Alice's body was found on September 30th, hidden on the bed of the River Brent, weighted down with bricks and logs. Arnis Zalkalns, a 41-year-old Latvian builder was identified as the prime suspect after he went missing just days after Alice's disappearance. He was filmed cycling the same canal route just 15 minutes behind Alice on the day she vanished. It later emerged that Arnis was a convicted murderer who had served seven years in prison in Latvia for killing his wife in 1998.
