Episode 386: Eat More Possum.

Neil goes out on the town to meet up with some friends and see Teenage Bottlerocket. Tom heads back to Logansport to hang out with a bunch of nerds. Jeff Clayton, singer of the mighty ANTiSEEN, stops by for his second visit with the PTID guys. He talks candidly about any number of topics, including whether or not legacy acts need to release new music, the sordid history and enduring legacy of the Eat More Possum LP, encores and bleeding on stage. With old and new songs from ANTiSEEN. 

Tom and his crew head to Logansport for The Record Farm's 10th anniversary celebration with Against the Grain, Flatfoot 56 and the rest. Just a couple days later he sees the legendary Handsome Dick Manitoba in Grand Rapids. The PTID guys also acknowledge the passing of fellow Dictator Ross the Boss. The PTID guys were lucky enough to spend some quality time with Garry Bushell, the English writer whose Oi compilations in the  early '80s really put the genre on the map. He talks about his adventures with Sham 69, Cockney Rejects, The Blood and more, plus his long career in various forms of journalism. Tom and Neil have a nice chat with Gabriel Rotello, author of the fictional crime novel The CBGB Conspiracy. Rotello moved to NYC in 1974, and was there for the birth of punk at the famed Bowery dive. His vivid memories and descriptions make you feel like you were there rubbing elbows with the misfits, punks and junkies that inhabited rock bottom New York in 1977. With songs from Television, The Shirts, Jayne County, Sick Fucks, Patti Smith and Richard Hell and the Voidoids. 

This stitched together episode starts with the PTID guys talking about a few things bothering them. Dropkick Murphys, Punk in the Park, politics in punk and a few other topics are discussed. There's also some gig talk, including the mighty Negative Approach! Finally their old pal Matt Swisher joins them to talk about all the cool stuff going down in Logansport, including a date reveal for the annual PTID show. The PTID guys catch up with Flatfoot 56 guitarist/vocalist Tobin Bawinkel. They talk about the early days of the band, and what a long strange trip it's been. There's some great tour stories, along with an update on upcoming gigs, including the Record Farm's 10th anniversary show in Logansport on Mar 21st. With songs from Flatfoot 56 and 6'10". 

Tom's back from the Sunshine State has tales to tell. First the PTID guys talk about the obscene wealth and the We Are The Punx festival in West Palm Beach. Then they get into Tom's unusual lodgings and the various eccentricities of Key West. The PTID guys make a pitch for a couple of bands that they feel deserve a bigger audience. Tom stumps for The Freeze and Neil for The Epoxies. Of course in between you get plenty of the inane chatter you've all grown to love. The music does a lot of the heavy lifting with songs from The Freeze and The Epoxies.
