Brandy wanted to be a part of a community, no small feat as a LGBTQ person living in a conservative town. She would often drive hours to meet new people. On May 17, 2012 she went off to meet a new potential friend but never returned. With a lack of help from the police, her mom and friends took it upon themselves to solve her disappearance.
