The Kingdom of God: Transformative Worship

Does God want to be worshiped? Does He need to be worshiped? Or is it part of a His greater agenda to redeem and transform us from darkness to light; from evil to good, from brokenness to wholeness? Jack Hayford put it this way, “Worship changes the worshiper into the image of the One worshiped.” When we worship God in accordance to what He reveals as true worship, He shows up, and we experience transformation one step at a time as we become increasingly like Him! It has the capacity to bring true life and a total transformation in the core of who we are! Our born-again experience includes an instant transfer from the Kingdom of this World into the Kingdom of God. Once we enter the Kingdom, we have the resources to re-make ourselves and become like our Father in heaven. This work of transformation is a collaboration between us and the Holy Spirit. This is due to the early gentile Church separating herself from Israel and her Scriptures and claiming that she has replaced her as the people of God. She then created new traditions and holy days to ensure that nobody would confuse her with being part of Israel. This resulted in Gentile Christians being deeply confused about their identity and mission in this world. Hanukkah is the pathway back to the roots of our faith and the people we are grafted into. Our identity is rooted in the ancient people and nation of God! We have a mission! A peaceful, compassionate, healing, restorative mission. That mission is to call our nation back to the Living God and the glory of His Son, Jesus! This is our mandate from Heaven. Our Christian ancestors came here “for the Glory of God and advancement of the Christian Faith…”(Mayflower Compact 1620). We are far from finished in this mission. The recent assassination and martyrdom of Charlie Kirk has shaken us and awakened us to our mission from Heaven to disciple our nation for Christ. Join us as we set our hearts to fulfill this great mission!

There is a liberating power that is unleashed when we realize what we deserve as sinners and yet receive what only God’s grace could give: love, acceptance, favor, and blessing! Out of this encounter with God comes thankfulness. Henry Van Dyke put it this way, “Gratitude is the inward feeling of kindness received. Thankfulness is the natural impulse to express that feeling.
