Interview with Maria -Christina Oliveras

Fay Simpson speaks to Maria-Christina Oliveras about her recent successes on Broadway and beyond. Having worked together for several years, they discuss how Lucid Body helped her develop deeply embodied characters, from Luz Baccay in The Balusters to Persephone in Hadestown, as well as her dual roles as Queen and Belarius in Cymbeline.

Cecilia and Fay have a conversation about the importance of Shakespeare's text in the body. After teaching and working together for many years, these two exchange views of what it means to embody the complex and passionate text of the Bard.
