Edmund Shing, Chief Investment Officer, et Guy Ertz, Deputy Chief Investment Officer, chez BNP Paribas Wealth Management, discutent de l'impact de l'escalade des tensions géopolitiques au Moyen-Orient.Les tensions entre Israël et Gaza sont évidentes depuis octobre 2023, donc ce n'est pas une situation nouvelle.Les efforts diplomatiques mondiaux se sont intensifiés pour éviter une escalade des tensions.Le prix du pétrole Brent avoisine les 90 dollars le baril, ce qui intègre déjà une prime de risque géopolitique substantielle, mais qui n'a pas augmenté récemment.Les prix de l'or continuent de grimper vers 2400 dollars l'once, mais cette hausse est principalement due aux achats des banques centrales et des consommateurs chinois, et non à une demande d'actifs refuges de la part des investisseurs.Les périodes précédentes de conflit régional ont eu un impact sur les marchés financiers mondiaux historiquement limité et de courte durée, ce qui est surprenant.L'impact le plus important sur les marchés jusqu'à présent provient plutôt des surprises en matière d'inflation et de croissance aux États-Unis, qui ont fait monter les rendements des bons du Trésor américain et le dollar américain, mettant ainsi la pression sur les marchés boursiers après une forte avancée de 6 mois.Hosted by Ausha.
