China reports sharp rise in border crossings

The Chinese Commerce Ministry has voiced its support for fair business negotiations on TikTok's U.S. operations, saying the deal is not a bargaining chip in tariff talks. The ministry said it opposes politicizing trade issues and the deal should follow market rules and company agreements in both countries.
