“What We Value” by Pastor Daniel Floyd

What if a meaningful life isn’t about gaining more but trusting God more? In our new “Fool’s Gold” series, Pastor Daniel explores why chasing temporary pleasures leaves us unsatisfied and how true contentment comes when we let go of empty pursuits, release our need for control, and learn to rest in God’s goodness and grace.

What we value shapes how we live and reflect Christ to the world. As Pastor Daniel concludes our “This Is Us” series, we’ll discover how keeping God at the center of our lives influences our relationships, attitudes, and actions, empowering us to live on mission and honor Him in all we do.

Our faith was never meant to remain still. God is always growing us toward greater maturity—shaping the way we think, live, and follow Him. As Pastor Daniel continues our “This Is Us” series, he reminds us that growth doesn’t happen alone; we grow together through relationships where we can be known and loved, experience freedom, and become more like Jesus.

God isn’t simply someone we believe in—He’s someone we were created to know personally. As Pastor Daniel continues our “This Is Us” series, join us as we discover why knowing God is at the heart of our faith, why He’s reaching for everyone, and why a relationship with Him is worth sharing with the world.

At Gateway, we want people to be saved, pastored, discipled, developed, and mobilized—but what does that look like, and why should we care? Kicking off our “This Is Us” series, Pastor Daniel gives insight into what we’re called to as followers of Christ, our purpose and values as a church, and how we believe God is shaping the Gateway family.

Our best days aren’t defined by what we’ve done but by who we are in Christ—chosen, adopted, and forgiven. These powerful truths remind us of our identities and the incredible grace of God. As Pastor Jelani Lewis concludes our “Best Days” series, he helps us discover how knowing we are God’s children and living in His forgiveness can transform the way we see ourselves, our pasts, and most importantly, our futures.

Your best days may be on the other side of your hardest days, but getting there requires trusting God and remaining faithful wherever He leads. Continuing our “Best Days” series, Pastor Daniel explores Joseph’s journey, showing us how God can use every season to prepare us for what’s next and how surrendering to God can position you to walk fully in His purpose for your life.

Life can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to run from the storm. You can run to your Refuge. In moments when your heart grows faint and uncertainty sets in, God invites you to find strength and security in Him. As Pastor Daniel continues our “Best Days” series, discover what it means to trust God as your strong tower, find refuge in His presence, and experience the healing that comes through His people.

Faith doesn’t promise us an easy life, but it can give us courage for whatever comes. Starting our new “Best Days” series, Pastor Daniel teaches us that faith-filled days begin when we trust God more than we fear opposition or outcomes. Together, we can discover how to establish strong convictions, entrust the results to God, and experience His presence, even in our trials.
