When Wisdom Doesn't Work

Proverbs tells us how the world generally works—but what do you do when you've done everything right and life still falls apart? This message walks through the book of Job (Job 1–2, 19:25, 38–42) alongside Proverbs 9:10, 1 Corinthians 10:13, Genesis 50:20, and Romans 8:32 to expose the simplistic, performance-based answers we reach for in a crisis and the flawed assumption underneath our confusion about suffering. You'll learn three truths you can hold onto when wisdom doesn't seem to work—God is never the source of evil, God is sovereign over it, and God only allows what He can redeem for good—and why the things we can't understand can actually become a source of deep comfort. Watch or listen and be challenged to trade cynicism and moralism for a confident humility, to choose to be overwhelmed by God rather than by your circumstances, and to rest in the demonstrated love of a Redeemer who stood on the earth for you.
