3.2 Discovery & Diagnosis

This is an update! I am talking about some life changing moments I’ve had just recently! All the hard work I’ve put in and the obstacles I’ve faced have not been in vein. Doors of opportunity have opened for me and hopefully I can help some of you in your own journey as well!

So… there have been many obstacles to get treatment. We talked about that last week but let me tell you what the treatment options actually are. Regardless mental health it’s very easy to feel hopeless like nothing is going help you but we all do have options. Here are mine.

On the road to getting diagnosed with ADHD I’ve run into MANY issues! I felt like no one wanted to hear me or treated me like I mattered. It’s been a lonely and hard road. Today I wanted to shed some light on the obstacles I’ve faced.

Now that I’ve FINALLY gotten the correct diagnosis. Wtf is ADHD anyway? I didn’t even know a Black woman could HAVE ADHD. Why has no one has ever talked to me about it?
