Nothing screams so loudly at us now than the situation in the Gulf And nothing could be more obvious—to those who choose to pay attention—than that we are insisting on heading down the wrong path, at least here in America if not elsewhere.The current Gulf war, the cause of our immediate international economic woes—incited in part by America’s current leader’s obsession with oil & gas uber alles, at the expense of developing alternative power sources such as solar & wind—has thus far proven fateful indeed.So, is it possible that, given the economic situation the world currently finds itself in, including the downturn in the world’s financial markets, that Venus in Aries is asking us now to finally see the light? And that the past betrayal of partners causes wariness & distrust, so that when we then ask those same partners to help rescue us, they don’t exactly come running… VENUS IN ARIES: SEND MONEY, GUNS, & LAWYERSAs the world struggles to absorb & more consciously understand this bigger picture, its seems clear that the lack of human consciousness to mankind’s current plight mistakes fighting as the way out, when nothing could be further from the truth.As reported in the Washington Post on March 17: “Trump fumes at NATO for refusing to help secure the Strait of Hormuz, and embraces going it alone…President Donald Trump says NATO and other allies have rejected his calls to help secure the Strait of Hormuz… “Trump’s indignant response to allies’ refusal to get involved in the war underscored that the conflict — now in its third week and causing reverberations across the global economy — is one the international community is looking to the U.S. leader to sort out himself after he launched it without consultation.“You would have thought they would have said, ‘We’d love to send a couple of minesweepers.’ That’s not a big deal,” Trump said. “It doesn’t cost very much money. But they didn’t do that.”While the question of economic affordability—meaning the ability of everyone on earth to not only survive, but to thrive—means little to those hellbent on destruction as a means of retribution, the world’s people continue to suffer. And Mother Earth continue to weep…SUN ENTERS ARIES AT SPRING EQUINOX MARCH 20: ACTIONS RELATED TO FANTASY OR REALITY?The recent Pisces New Moon asked us to plant seeds that can grow into greater empathy for the plight of the world & all of its humans now. It’s a “there but for the grace of God, go I” energy. One that reinforces for us that no man is an island, & that "each man’s joy is joy to me, while each man’s grief is my own," as the song goes. That this month’s lunar cycle’s message follows that of last month’s Aquarius New Moon solar eclipse--which asked us to plant humanitarian forward thinking progressive energies that can save our planet from the kind of destruction we’re seeing now--might be more obvious now in hindsight. In short, we were asked to leave behind any fixed ideological notions that take us backward instead of forward, & that seek the benefit the few over the many.The Sun’s entrance now into Aries heralds the spring equinox in the northern & western hemiphere & foretells action. However, whether that action will be based on continued rejection of reality as the Sun conjoins Neptune on March 22 or acceptance of responsibility for what is real now by the time the Sun conjoins Saturn on March 25, remains to be seen.By the time we reach the first quarter “crisis in action” phase of this month’s lunar cycle with the cardinal square of the Cancer Moon to the Aries Sun March 25--as we wax toward the conjunction of Venus to wounded healer Chiron in Aries March 26--the question becomes whether or not the plight of humans worldwide will be not only realistically recognized but dealt with…REMEMBER: THE BIGGER PICTURE REMINDS US TO KEEP THE FAITHThat all of this is occurring under the backdrop of the longer astrological cycles currently in play should by now be obvious. For example: The realignment of the international order under the waxing Saturn/Pluto cycle, the attacks on our seas & their bountiful resources under the new Saturn/Neptune cycle, & the repercussions for democracy worldwide under the already triggered U.S. Pluto return, all play a part right now.And then there’s the waxing Jupiter/Saturn cycle, which traditionally symbolically foretells the death of the old & its replacement by the new. It’s this latter cycle that might give us the most hope right now.Though hope at this spring equinox may be sorely lacking as farmers’ seasonal planting may be forestalled by the deprivation of petroleum derived products such as fertilizer, again we know it’s a call for change. We might note here, too, that Ceres, the dwarf planet representative of fertilization of crops, is squaring Pluto now, potentially bringing transformation to this process by slowing it down. But Ceres represents faith. And faith is most prevalent when we’re properly fed & don’t have to spend restless nights worrying about from where our next meal will come.We might note now, too, the May 19 conjunction in Aries of Chiron & Eris, the goddess of discord, chaos, & strife who, in Greek mythology instigated the Trojan War. Especially since by then the United States had joined Israel to attack Iran on February 28, shortly after the third-quarter waning square of Mars to Uranus on February 27, surprising many. However, by the March 11 third quarter waning square of the Sagittarius Moon to the Pisces Sun, tension grew from asking questions that received no straight or verifiable answers to those focused on the overall strategy & end game for this war.And, as Jupiter stationed direct at 15’05” Cancer on March 12, the energy shifts to where we stand—both personally & collectively—in terms of morals & ethics. Retrograde since last November, Jupiter tasked us to go deep about whether we’ve been following our heart & souls’ true knowledge about what is ethical & moral, or whether we’ve simply acquiesced to the beliefs of those in power.VENUS IN ARIES, JUPITER DIRECT: MORAL JUSTICE FOR SEX TRAFFICKED RAPE VICTIMSMeanwhile, as more Epstein documents continue to be released, since VE entered war god Mars-ruled Aries on March 6, & as it waxed toward a sextile to PL in AQ March 9/10 there was this from the NYT March 9: “Alexander Brothers Found Guilty of All Counts in Sex-Trafficking Trial The verdict comes more than a month after the trial began in Federal District Court in Manhattan where the jury heard weeks of emotional and often graphic testimony.“Three brothers, including two who were among the country’s most prominent real estate brokers, were convicted in Manhattan on Monday of engaging in a yearslong conspiracy to traffic women and girls for sex.“The brothers — Tal and Oren Alexander, who regularly closed multimillion-dollar real estate deals in New York and elsewhere, and Alon Alexander, a security executive — were found guilty on every count they each faced, and could now all face life in prison when they are sentenced on Aug. 6.The verdict comes more than a month after the trial began in Federal District Court in Manhattan, where the jury heard weeks of emotional and often graphic testimony from 11 women who had accused the Alexander brothers of rape or sexual assault. And that Venus in Aries will ultimately succeed in her her fight to restore the natural order of reverence for feminist anima as sacred.MERCURY RETROGRADE’S BLASTS FROM THE PASTThis podcast also delves into the reemergence of people & events from the past rearing their heads again today. Hmm, speaking of sexual abuse, might this recent verdict be a bellwether for the Epstein case as we learn that FBI is now investigating his sprawling Albuquerque, New Mexico, “Zorro Ranch” property,” which it neglected (or bothered) to search back when. A little Mercury retrograde action again, since the FBI knew about this property a long while back…Next, of course, is the Iran attack redux since both Israel & the U.S. claimed to have obliterated this nation’s nuclear capabilities after their attacks back in June of 2025. Oops, maybe not…maybe it’s during Mercury’s retrograde in Pisces we were able to learn we were lied to, eh? Especially when we remember that Mercury’s Hermes is known as “the trickster” in Greek mythology, there’s the outdated intelligence used by Defense Department to target what it thought was an Iranian military structure that turned out to be a girls school.U.S. at Fault in Strike on School in Iran, Preliminary Inquiry Says, according to the NYTs on March 11: “Outdated targeting data may have resulted in a mistaken missile strike, according to the ongoing military investigation, which undercuts President Trump’s assertion that Iran could be to blame…"...Striking a school full of children is sure to be recorded as one of the most devastating single military errors in recent decades. Iranian officials have said the death toll was at least 175 people, most of them children.” And of course answers  from the U.S. Government to direct questions have been muddled & vague. Since Mercury is related to communication, we also have the reemergence of names like Kari Lake-- remember her? She’s the right wing former candidate for Arizona Governor who Donald Trump last year appointed as the head of Voice of America, the international broadcast arm of the U.S. Government.There was this from AP on March 8: “Judge Voids Mass Layoffs at Voice of America…Federal judge rules Trump Administration’s action to dismantle Voice of America are illegal. The ruling, which said that Kari Lake’s appointment to oversee V.O.A.’s parent agency was invalid, was a major rejection of President Trump’s attempts to dismantle the government-funded news group.”WATER, WATER, EVERYWHERE, NOR ANY DROP TO DRINKNext, we have the ongoing fall out of the attacks on Iranian infrastructure which seem to align with the recently begun Saturn/Neptune cycle in Aries. Numerous events, including the attacks on Iranian desalination planets, & Iranian retaliation toward nearby Gulf states have resulted thus far in destroying the ability of millions to access clean drinking water.According to the New York Times “…desalination plants in Iran and Bahrain were struck during the escalating conflict, with Iran accusing the U.S. of hitting a facility on Qeshm Island [the largest island in the Persian Gulf] that supplies water to about 30 villages, while Bahrain blamed an Iranian drone for damaging a plant there. “Analysts warned that attacking desalination infrastructure — a primary source of drinking water for millions in the Gulf — marks a serious escalation that could threaten civilian survival and broaden the war’s impact beyond military targets.”Never mind the fact that this war has caused the Iranians to close their side of the Straits of Hormuz (Saturn=boundaries; Neptune=water, Aries=action), through which 20% of the world’s oil transits. And that the rest of the world struggles to make up for this shortfall by releasing strategic petroleum preserves to tamp down the rise in oil prices, which may see oil rise to upwards of $200 per barrel, as per some experts estimates.And, of course there's the fact that bombing Iran has resulted in setting back the cause of preventing future damaging climate change for who knows how long, but at least decades, according to experts.PISCES NEW MOON: PLANT SEEDS OF GREATER EMPATHY FOR REAL VICTIMSAs we head toward the March 18 Pisces New Moon, which brings both luminaries together at 28’27” PI at 1:20 pm PT & 4:20 pm ET, they are also waxing toward conjunctions with Neptune at 1’42” Aries & Saturn @3’56”, as they begin to separate from now. This podcast delves into more about this lunation, & how by the time it arrives we’ll also have the exact conjunction of wounded healer Chiron to chaos-inducer dwarf planet Eris. That’s in addition to the March 15 conjunction of Mar & Mercury retrograde in Pisces.The Pisces New Moon chart for Washington, D.C., places the Chiron/Eris conjunction in the 7th House of partnership & partile opposite the Libra Ascendant & transiting Part of Fortune. Or why more than one thousand Iranians have died in a non-U.S. congressionally sanctioned war?Further, does what we want include not having to spend our taxpayer dollars on war abroad—which at times has been justified as helping the Iranian people rise up against their oppressive regime—when our own people are gunned down in the streets by government-funded agents during peaceful protests?It’s being made clear by recent primaries that what voter want is not a government filled with incompetent, inexperienced, right wing idealogues greedy for money & power, but rather a democracy that affords due process to all, American AND foreign born. (Oh, & universal healthcare, too…)While it remains to be seen what the universe is going to tell us we truly need, the eventual results of events playing out now strongly advise us to repel the fixed ideological notions of those with a warped sense of values, ethics, & morals. THIRD QUARTER LUNAR SQUARE OF SAGITTARIUS MOON TO THE PISCES SUN: ARE YOU CONFUSED ABOUT THE STRATEGETIC END GOAL OF WAR?   Meanwhile, as this monthly lunar cycle—which began at the Aquarius New Moon solar eclipse on February 17, culminated at the Virgo Full Moon lunar eclipse March 3—winds down, it will reach its waning third quarter square on March 11.That’s when the Sagittarius Moon will square the Pisces Sun, creating tension between our deepest beliefs about what is just and what is not (Sagittarius) that’s at odds with the lack of answers we’re getting now, particularly about what’s legitimately legal and what’s based on legal fabrication (Pisces.)We’re not there yet, in part because both the U.S. House & Senate rejected voting to enact the War Powers Resolution Act on March 5 & 6. Hence, the first quarter lunar square of the Gemini Moon to the Pisces Sun February 24 has had us asking many questions (Gemini=communication & curiosity) the answers to which have previously remained vague & unclear (Neptune-ruled Pisces=confusion.)Known as the “crisis in action” portion of the monthly lunar cycle, this first quarter square represented the growth of the seeds planted at the Aquarius New Moon solar eclipse. It was then we were asked us to separate forward thinking humanitarian ideological beliefs from groups with fixed ideologues whose narrower sets of beliefs take us backward in time. As we move toward March 3’s Virgo Full Moon lunar eclipse, which occurs at 3:38 a.m. PT & 6:38 a.m. ET at 12’54” of the Mercury-ruled sign of analytical thinking based on facts from which we may draw conclusions, we face the confusion & frustration of getting only vague, inconclusive answers from the Pisces Sun, as noted. Nowhere was this more obvious than during former first lady & Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s forced testimony in front of the GOP majority ruled House Oversight Committee on February 26. The ideological divide noted at the Aquarius New Moon solar eclipse became obvious at Clinton turned her clarity-seeking questions back onto the committee & it’s true purpose.Despite the fact that convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell “took part in budget discussions related to the first Clinton Global Initiative conference; talked through challenges about it with both Clinton aides and Publicis Groupe, the company that produced the inaugural event; and arranged to wire $1 million to pay Publicis for its work on “the Clinton project,” according to emails in the massive cache of documents collected as part of the government’s investigations of Mr. Epstein,” as per the New York Times, Calling this “partisan political theater,” & “and an insult to the American people,” Clinton derided the committee for wasting time asking her questions instead of calling for the testimony of people mentioned numerous times in the recently released Epstein documents.People like Elon Musk, U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, & President Donald Trump--who’s mentioned thousands of times in these documents as has been reported now by many reputable media outlets. MERCURY RETROGRADE IN PISCES KICKS OFF AN ANNUAL REVIEW OF THE EMOTIONAL QUALITY OF LIFE No surprise that such confusion might arise as this occurred just after Mercury stationed retrograde at 22’34” Pisces late February 25 & early February 26, depending on your time zone. The results of such actions remain to be seen, but as Martin Luther King—who’s memory we just celebrated this past week—said: "The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice." NEPTUNE RE-ENTERS MARTIAL ARIES JANUARY 27: DISSOLUTION & RECONSTRUCTION?That brings us to the fact that Neptune re-enters the Mars-ruled sign of Aries on January 27. If it’s not practical, the Capricorn archetype doesn’t want to waste time on pie-in-the-sky dreams with no possible way of becoming reality.The waning portion of the last monthly lunar cycle--which began with the Sagittarius New Moon on December 19--asked us to go deep about our true sense of what is moral, ethical, & just. After the past month of governmental initiated brute force used against those in cities across America, this influx of Aquarian energy frees us to think differently about how to combat such injustices now.It’s clear in retrospect that the past week of tense squares by Venus, Sun, Mars, & Mercury in Capricorn to wounded healer Chiron & chaos bringer dwarf planet Eris in Aries manifested in violent actions against protestors (read: literal wounding.) This includes not only the death or Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis Minnesota on January 7, but the more recent wounding of others, including the young man in L.A. who’s permanently blind in one eye now after being shot in the face with pepper balls by an ICE agent. The symbolism of this particular act of violence lies in the fact that Uranus has been retrograding from 29-degrees of Taurus—known as the Pleiades point which is associated with “blindness”—back to 27-degrees Taurus, a degree away from the fixed star Algol.Algol represents an “off with his head” energy as its meaning derives from Greek mythology’s hero Perseus who slayed the snake-haired gorgon Medusa by cutting off her head & ending her ability to turn people to stone with her gaze.  After Uranus stations direct again at 27’28” Taurus on February 3, it will once again hit the Pleiades point from early April through to April 25 when Uranus reenters Gemini. By then it’s highly likely that even those who’ve been blind to the depths of the immorality of the people who run the U.S. government will begin to see the light. In addition, when Uranus again transits through 29 degrees of Taurus, it will affect those whose birth charts contain the fixed star Regulus at that degree. You know, folks like Donald Trump, who’s 29’55” Leo Ascendant conjoins Regulus, known as the king maker & king breaker.That’s because, while Regulus predicts the potential for reaching great heights of power, it also portends a huge fall from grace if one uses such power for evil ends such as retribution against perceived enemies. Trump clearly has no astrologer to guide him, else he’d have been forewarned not to act as he has since he became president a second time in January 2025.It’s clear that group sentiment has been changing how they value Trump’s actions in office thus far (Uranus Rx in Taurus.) You know, like his threat this past week to invoke the Insurrection Act of 1807 which empowers the U.S. President to nationally deploy the U.S. military and to federalize the National Guard units of the individual states.That act allows the president to do this in specific circumstances, such as for the suppression of civil disorder, of insurrection, and of armed rebellion against the federal government of the U.S.Invoking this—along with Trump’s other plans such his desire to increase ICE's funding, change mail-in election ballot rules, attempt to take over Greenland, & the confiscation & selling of seized Venezuelan oil & depositing the $500M proceeds in an offshore account, among so many others—will not sit well with Americans.And that displeasure is likely to make itself felt as Uranus once again reaches its square to his natal Regulus/Ascendant & Mars in April as the two political party’s primaries will be well under way.While he’s not on the ballot in November 2026, plenty of his Republican minions are. And it’s not looking good for them—assuming we, the people, can stand together against such a tyrannical regime that’s killing people in the streets, & detaining, jailing, & deporting others without due process. EMPOWERMENT VERSUS DISEMPOWERMENTEmpowerment becomes the word of this coming week as Venus, Mercury, the Sun, & Mars all conjoin with Pluto in Aquarius between January 19 & 27—especially since we may hear another (potentially surprising) announcement by the powers that be when the Sun conjoins Mercury in Aquarius between now & January 21.This sets off new synodic cycles which will eventually reach their peaks when Venus in Leo opposes Pluto on June 17, & the Sun follows suit July 26. Mercury does so on August 11, while the one to watch is the Mars opposition to Pluto in Aquarius on October 3. Bear in mind the latter will occur a month before the November 3, 2026, midterm elections, meaning after the party's nominees have slugged it out during the earlier primary period.Keep in mind also that during this period, by mid-October, transiting Mars in Leo will have conjoined with Trump’s 12th H Pluto at 10 Leo, and will be headed for his natal Mars return, which occurs after the election on November 18.Empowering ourselves now against what’s potentially to come IF it looks like Trump’s party is losing power after November 3 may well involve bracing ourselves for dealing with an increasingly desperate, wounded, cornered animal.
