The traumatic circumstances of Lee's birth and how the feelings of fear, confusion, shame, guilt, and abandonment experienced by his young mother imprinted on him before he ever took his first breath.   2. The struggles Lee faced as a half-Chinese child in a predominantly white community, the feeling of always being different, and the pressures that led him to seek refuge and acceptance in alcohol.   4. A brief glimpse into Lee's early childhood years, living with his grandparents and mother's siblings, and the significant change when his mother met the man Lee would know as his father.   5.
