We remember William Tyndale as the man who translated the New Testament from the original Greek into English, but his story is part of a much larger movement beginning decades before his translation work began.  In this episode, we are joined by Dr Simon Burton, John Laing Senior Lecturer in Reformation History at the University of Edinburgh. In this episode of our Genesis 1-9 Deep Dive, we reach a pivotal and complex turning point.Genesis 6 isn't just a story about building an ark; it’s a detailed look at what happens when the very order of the world begins to fall apart. The chapter gives us a picture of creation unravelling, humanity crossing boundaries, violence spreading through “all flesh,” and God declaring that his Spirit shall not always contend with humanity. The chapter opens with the mysterious “sons of God and daughters of man” and the appearance of the Nephilim.
