This week Alan Altizer is honored to be joined by Montana’s legendary traditional bowhunters Peter Iacavazzi and Paul Brunner for a tribute to Karen Brunner. Paul’s wife Karen was an exceptional traditional bowhunter.  Although her bowhunting career was cut short by physical issues, she stayed part of bowhunting and the outdoors for her entire life. Karen’s accomplishments are shining examples for other women wanting to bowhunt. Peter became close friends with Paul and Karen in his teens and shares stories of their making him part of the family. Paul shares many of his memories of Karen’s bowhunting accomplishments and heart felt thoughts of his best friend, hunting partner, and the love of his life.

On this episode Dalton sits down for an early morning chat with diehard bowhunter Chris Weist. Now an Alaskan native, Rosie is considered one of the best elk hunters with a traditional bow out there. Part 1: This week PBS member Jeff Holchin joins Dalton Lewis to discuss DIY Elk hunts and shares an extreme amount of research of various western states and opportunities a hunter can take advantage of. Jeff has been incredibly successful at DIY hunts, having taken everything from hogs to moose, with elk being his favorite. This discussion is a wealth of knowledge.
