Our culture has taught us that when something is no longer serving us, when it gets boring or hard or we just don’t want it anymore, then we can replace it with a newer, better or more exciting model. Unfortunately this mindset has been applied to our marriages. We have been fed the lie that a relationship that takes investment isn’t worth it if we aren’t getting all the feels we did at first. But marriage is so much deeper than that. When we choose to prioritize our relationship with our husband and fight for it to thrive, we can experience a love unlike any other on this earth. Many Christians are faced with the question: Can I have faith and be depressed? The struggle with mental health can be difficult to know how to navigate and even talk about. Most people have faced some level of depression in their lifetime. So the reality is that this is an issue and we must create space to discuss it. At the same time, we have the opportunity to wrestle with our mental health in partnership with Jesus, which changes so much. God is inviting us to know Him more deeply and also to get to know ourselves in light of who He is. So then the question becomes, how do we respond?
