Inspired by the 2017 Co-Liv Conference in San Francisco, Scott Cooney renovated a multi-level house in Hawaii to develop a small version of an intentional community. His community includes multiple shared spaces, both indoor and out, a permaculture garden with rain barrels, and a net-zero energy home. Tenants can do work trade, to help address affordable housing issues.

Scott Cooney is a big fan of co-living for sustainability and community. He is a serial eco-entrepreneur, with startups including CleanTechnica and HomeEfficiency.com, and the author of two books.

In this episode Scott from Pono Home discusses his project, share videos of the community, and even give a live tour of the property!
