In this playful yet poignant episode, Roy makes the case for chivalry. While we should celebrate the evolutionary changes in masculine/feminine dynamics that have occurred since the 1950’s, Roy argues for retaining some of the “old-fashioned” ways men and women treat each other.
Roy argues for men to be “gentlemen,” opening a women’s door, picking up the check and even walking on the curbside of the street. But he also challenges women to embrace feminism yet allow themselves to be treated as special—not weaker or unable or inferior—but simply as the special creatures that they are.
The relationship between men and women is more confusing now more than ever, and if you’re interested making sense of all of it all, don’t miss this episode.
