Welcome back to another episode of the podcast. In today’s episode, we’re going to go back to the basics and chat all about podcast terminology.

If you’re new to the podcasting world, some of these terms might be unfamiliar to you so I wanted to provide you with an episode where we dive into all the basic terms and their meanings so you know exactly what we’re talking about.

This isn’t a completely exhaustive list but I tried to include the terms I think you absolutely need to know as a new podcaster.

How to Convert Your Listeners into Leads

    8:06

I know that most of us, although we probably truly enjoy podcasting, we don’t do it for absolutely no reason.    Our reasoning for podcasting may be different, sure, but whether we’re podcasting to position ourselves as an expert in our niche, make money, or a mix of the two, we have our own endgame goal.  Most entrepreneurs' reason for podcasting isn’t to make thousands off of ad sponsorships but to make an impact while also supporting their business monetarily with their podcast which is what today’s episode is all about.  So if you’re ready to learn how to convert your listeners into leads, then let’s get into it.

    Podcast Cover Art 101

    5:21

Hey savvies! Welcome back to another episode of the podcast. We skipped releasing a new episode last week as my son was home sick all week and I hadn’t recorded a new episode for the week so I decided to just skip releasing a new episode so I didn’t have to stress about when I would be able to record.  Skipping a week isn’t something I advise anyone to do and definitely isn’t something I do often but sometimes life throws you a curveball and it is what it is. That just goes to show how important batching is.  This episode is for those of you who have yet to launch your podcast or are planning on revamping your cover art.  I feel like cover art isn’t something talked about too often but it’s definitely a key piece of your podcast so today I’m going to be sharing 5 elements that your cover art needs.

Podcast Sponsorships - Yay or Nay?

    7:33

In today’s episode, we’re going to be chatting all about podcast sponsorships and if they will be a good fit for your specific podcast or not.  First up, let’s discuss what different podcast sponsorships are available out there.  There are a few different sponsorship options - we have affiliate marketing, traditional ad sponsorships, and self-sponsorship. The one we’ll be diving into today is traditional sponsorships so this means ad segments from other companies. If you’re an avid podcast listener, I’m sure you’re familiar with these kinds of ads. They’re usually for a brand you’re already familiar with to some extent and are placed at the beginning of an episode right before the content starts, in the middle of the episode, or at the end of an episode.
