How to deal with the loss of a parent
3:11On the anniversary of their birthday, not their death, go to a church or a temple or place and put some flowers and say, "Thank you, this is in remembrance of you. May God grant you peace so you live on in the grace of God."
The importance of tolerance and understanding
12:33You have to teach people from an early age when they are little children growing up, that there's a duality in them so sometimes one aspect of that duality will make more demands than the other.
Immerse yourself in the Divine
15:12I know you are in a hurry to master yourself and the mind. To master the mind means you must get rid of your undigested thoughts. Why are they undigested? Because you have not spent time perfecting them or your actions. [Analyse] what you should be doing, how you should be doing it, and be aware of the causes and effects that you set in motion in your life. You have to perfect your thoughts to digest them.
How can contemplation change emotional patterns?
6:29Sit down and say to yourself, "From the moment I got up what was my behaviour pattern? What were the vibrations I set in motion? What did I do? How did my friends react? Was I critical? Was I aggressive? Was I understanding? Was I acting with loving-kindness?"
If we are created from love how can we commit evil acts?
4:44You must be able to say to yourself, “I lost my temper. I see that, now why did I do that? I must control myself. I must become aware and mindful, and then I am in charge of my whole being. I become depressed, I'm unhappy, I want more. Why? I am the master. I am the person who is free.”
Is evil an illusion?
8:20I don’t like to use the word ‘evil’. ‘Good’ and ‘bad’ are very unintelligent methods of looking at life. I would like you to look at the causes and effects you set in motion, which are positive or negative. Positive or negative means you realise what you are doing and the consequences of your actions. It means that you realise what the results of your actions are. It means that you realise whether or not there is love or whether you are hurting people, or yourself in the process. This is what I want you to study.
Conserving sexual energy
10:16Real ‘contraception’ is responsibility. Responsibility means that you choose one partner, settle down in life, and be responsible. We want to see that responsibility because [nowadays] people are using contraception as a way to enable more and more promiscuity.
Becoming spiritually mature
7:02When you grow up, you throw away the things that you played with as a child. What matters then as you advance spiritually is that all the things that other people are attached to, you will soon push away. You think, “They are not for me. What satisfies me?” Why are you here? Why are you feeling within yourself a sense of satisfaction to come and have this interaction with me? Why?
Developing sensitivity and awareness of everything you do
7:18When you sleep, sleep. When you eat, eat. When you work, work. When you play, play hard, never mind. When you laugh, laugh. You must be aware of all you set in motion in your body and your mind. You must be acutely alert then you develop your senses more and more to register the impulses from around you.
Do we have the right to die?
7:32I want every opportunity for every life. My advice to you when you see such a child is to go to the child, clasp your hands together, and say to the Divine Mother, “Mother, I can't understand the totality of karma that this child is born with. Please help this child. I pray that you are the best judge of all this and that you will help to assist this child in birth and death.” That is the best solution to the problem.
