This episode was inspired by a recent discovery call where my client had big dreams for her business but she had no idea what her brand actually was. She's been in business for a few years, so she's not new, and she's had clients coming in, but she was struggling to really clarify in her mind what she stands for as a business and why people should choose her over her competitors. This is exactly how I used to feel back in the first year of my business when I was offering branding and websites, and that was it. There was nothing unique that was differentiating my brand from others until I started to show up, speak to camera and share more of my daily life. So if you can bring yourself out more in the brand and use your own face, voice and your own way of thinking, that's already going to put you so far ahead of your competitors because no one can compete with that at all.
What I cover in this episode:
- The importance of understanding your target audience, their challenges and their desires
- How your brand can bridge the gap between where your audience is and where they want to be
- Brand positioning and integrating personal identity into your brand to stand out
- Defining your audience, positioning and brand movement
