The 4th of July is amateur night when it comes to overlanding, well camping. What I mean is that even the dispersed spots will be taken this weekend. And most of these places get trashed. Lets face it, your average "camper" will just trash spots. And the 4th just adds more trash, fireworks. Yep here is the reason, and its a good one. My daughter Molly will be a freshman in HS and she has started marching band. So she is super busy and wouldn't get to come see me much, if at all really. So I am back!

Every year people get stuck on the beach in Kenai, Alaska dipnetting. It is a crazy way to catch tons of salmon, if you a resident for at least one year. It is only open for a few weeks in July so it gets crazy here. A mini van got stuck, along with several other vehicles.
