I haven’t really been posting lately and, if you know me, you’ll know just how unlike me that is.

Consistency has been a huge part of how I’ve built my business over the last six years, so this period has brought up a lot for me, from questioning why I suddenly didn’t want to create, to looking at the beliefs and identity wrapped up in being someone who has always been known for showing up.

And the more I’ve sat with it, the more I’ve realised just how much I don’t want to go back to creating content in the way I was before.

In this episode, I’m taking you behind the scenes of what I’ve actually been navigating, my growing frustration with how strategic content has become, and why I think somewhere along the way we’ve stripped so much of the human out of building a personal brand.

I’m also sharing what’s been happening for me subconsciously as I move away from something that has worked incredibly well for six years, why that has been much harder than I expected, and what I want this next chapter of Rebecca Haydon and The Subconscious Institute to look like.

There’s no shiny new seven step content strategy at the end of this one, I’m figuring it out, changing things, experimenting and letting you come behind the scenes while I do.

This is very much my stake in the ground for what comes next.

Topics covered on changing my content strategy:

  1. Why I haven’t been creating content consistently recently
  2. How being known for consistency became wrapped up in my identity
  3. Why I think content strategy has become so strategic that we’re losing the human behind the brand
  4. The pressure to make every post have a hook, purpose, CTA and perfectly engineered angle
  5. Why I don’t want to keep creating content a certain way simply because I know it works
  6. What has been happening subconsciously as I’ve started changing something I’ve done for six years
  7. Giving myself space to decide what I actually want my personal brand to become
  8. Bringing more of my life, thoughts, businesses, motherhood, opinions and behind the scenes into my content
  9. My bigger vision for bringing NLP, Hypnosis and subconscious work into more conversations, industries and rooms
  10. Why I’m letting you watch me figure out what comes next rather than waiting until I have it perfectly worked out
