This mantra is salutation to Goddess Durga in her fierce, protective, and most powerful form (Duṃ is the bīja of Mahādevī Durgā).-------Explanation of the Mantraॐ (Om)The primordial sound (Pranava). Represents the entire universe — creation, preservation, destruction. Connects the individual soul (jiva) to the Supreme Reality (Brahman).
