BLUE ANGELS vs the COMMUNISTS; the politics of resentment - #998

Savage invokes the fable of "The Scorpion and The Frog" to explore the growing threats to American society, criticizing movements with radical Islam, communism, and the "enemy within." From the riots in France and the costs of welfare and healthcare to illegal immigration and California's political battles, Savage revisits Proposition 187 and the legal challenges that followed. He discusses U.S. District Court Judge Araceli Martinez-Olgui's order blocking a Trump administration investigation into noncitizen voting. He takes aim at politicians and media figures, and reflects on his earlier books, including "The Enemy Within", "Liberalism Is a Mental Disorder", and "Stop the Coming Civil War."  Warning of deepening cultural divisions and the possibility of civil conflict, Savage shares reflections on a private dinner with President Trump and what could happen next after the midterm elections.

Savage reacts to the disturbing footage of riots and looting in France, warning that a dangerous "Red-Green Alliance" of leftists, communists, and Islamists poses a growing threat to Western civilization. He blasts French President Emmanuel Macron for weak leadership, condemns mainstream media outlets for downplaying the chaos, and questions why American networks are not showing viewers the full extent of the unrest. Calling for decisive action, including martial law and military intervention, Savage warns that similar turmoil could erupt in the United States, drawing comparisons to the Black Lives Matter riots and raising alarms about immigration, political radicalism, and the erosion of law and order. Savage delivers a fiery warning about what he believes is the West's accelerating decline and asks whether America is prepared for what may be coming next.

First Radio Show - March 21, 1994 Savage argues fear of lawsuits prevents firing incompetence, leading to promotions and broader societal decline, and invites listeners to share "horror stories." He also critiques a New York Times Magazine proposal to let police stop, frisk, and seize weapons from "likely suspects" without probable cause.   "Dr. Un-Savage" Savage, calling himself "Michael Un-Savage" after visiting "Dr. Pot," claims marijuana has liberated him from "truth, reason, and the American way" and launches an extended satire of liberal positions. He reverses earlier views on Iraq and Saddam Hussein, mocks religion, morality, and "logic," blaming the Bible on vitamin-deficient ancient Hebrews. Through calls, he endorses ideas such as sex education over science, buying non-American products, raising skilled-worker immigration, higher taxes and welfare voting, and defending the Clintons amid the Lewinsky scandal. He makes outrageous claims about NAMBLA, gun control, and abortion, repeatedly asserting that whatever "feels good" is right, before saying the marijuana is wearing off and he feels "the savage coming on."

In this milestone 1,000th episode of The Savage Nation, Savage celebrates his remarkable broadcasting journey. He delivers a fiery warning that the world is burning, arguing that a dangerous alliance of communists, Islamists, and labor unions is fueling unrest across the globe, from riots in France to instability in other nations. He takes aim at CNN, Fox News, and prominent journalists, accusing the mainstream media of distorting events and contributing to the chaos. Savage examines Emmanuel Macron's leadership, calls for a forceful response to disorder, and warns that similar upheaval could reach America before the elections. Reaffirming his signature philosophy of "borders, language, culture," he urges California voters to support Republican candidates. This historic episode concludes with Savage contemplating the uncertain future of America after Trump leaves office, invoking the ominous French phrase, "Après moi, le déluge"—after me, the flood.

Savage opens with a fiery warning about Bernie Sanders "The Pied Piper of Communism." He challenges listeners to consider how once-radical ideas are increasingly accepted in American society. He examines the shifting political landscape. He then shifts to his enduring philosophy of "borders, language, culture." He argues that most Americans oppose illegal immigration, and invites callers to identify ideas they believe have moved into the mainstream. Savage draws chilling comparisons between modern communist ideology and the brutal regimes of the past, particularly Pol Pot's Cambodia. In this provocative episode, Savage asks whether America is drifting toward a dangerous political transformation and warns listeners to recognize the historical consequences before it is too late.

Savage opens with the roar of the Blue Angels over San Francisco, celebrating American ingenuity and achievement while warning of the growing politics of resentment. Drawing parallels to the French and Russian Revolutions, he blasts Bernie Sanders and the proposed billionaires tax, radical ideology in universities, and the violent student protests in France. Savage reflects on the American dream, hard work, and the values instilled by his immigrant father. Finally, an extraordinary story involving a World War II prayer book leads Savage to examine his own crisis of faith, the power of prayer, and the spiritual battle for America's future.

Hear what Trump told Savage about Iran in 2011! Savage introduces Donald Trump on "The Savage Nation," saying Trump praised Savage's book "Trickle-Up Poverty" and agreed that tariffs on China are needed to stop currency manipulation and job losses. Trump argues China harms the U.S. through manipulated currency and advocates a firm 25% tax on Chinese imports, calling NAFTA a disaster and describing the U.S. as a "whipping post" in trade deals; he also criticizes technology concessions demanded by China. They discuss South Korea benefiting from U.S. protection, Iraq owing repayment for war costs. Trump discusses how the U.S. has become "policemen" in the Middle East. He warns that Iran will take over Iraq if we abruptly leave. Savage later urges Trump to run positively as a tough but compassionate capitalist and dismisses other Republican contenders as unelectable.

Savage argues that widespread access to information has produced a culture where uninformed people spread confident opinions and conspiracy theories. He then examines a disturbing paradox of the modern age: despite having more access to information than ever before, society increasingly rewards ignorance, shallow thinking, and emotional reaction over knowledge, depth, and truth. He explores how algorithms, social media, and the attention economy have created a culture of sensationalism and "digital Pavlovianism," where slogans, tribalism, and influencer personas often carry more weight than expertise or substance. Savage argues that schools and institutions can reinforce conformity rather than curiosity, while admitting ignorance is treated as weakness and genuine independent thought becomes increasingly rare. In a world where stupidity itself can become a profitable product, he asks whether the wisest form of resistance may be strategic silence—and challenges listeners to step back, think critically, and refuse to surrender their minds to the crowd.

Savage examines Caroline Glick's remarkable article, "The Woman With Steel Balls," which accuses the UK, France, and Canada of hypocrisy in their treatment of Israel. In a fiery piece, she chastises these nations for their placating of terrorists while criticizing Israel for protecting itself. Savage and Jeff Rovin debate whether Israel should embrace a more diplomatic "Athens" posture or maintain a "Sparta" mentality. The conversation expands to what they see as the disproportionate scrutiny of Israel compared with conflicts worldwide. Savage and Rovin also explore Daoist philosophy, Netanyahu's future, and what Iran may do next before the midterms.

(March 12, 2014)   SAVAGE WAS 13 YEARS AHEAD OF HIS TIME ON THIS!  Must listen. Savage discusses Israel passing a law meant to draft ultra-Orthodox men and interviews Rabbi Yaakov Spivak, who argues Israel is a holy country needing a group devoted to Torah study and shielded from the moral and spiritual dangers of military life, especially for religious youth. Savage challenges the fairness of exemptions, cites biblical and historical examples supporting self-defense, and argues Jews should learn to use weapons after the Holocaust. They debate war's horrors and need for defense. Spivak notes many Orthodox already serve and emphasizes prayer and spirituality as central to Israel's survival, while both criticize secular liberal culture in Israel and America and call for a revival in God-fearing people in America.
