Phillip and Eric are back from their Thanksgiving hiatus to break down one of the hottest comics of the year, Absolute Batman by Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta, one of the flagship titles of DC's Absolute line. They discuss Snyder's reimagining of billionaire Bruce Wayne as an angry and brutal middle-class engineer, the series influences from Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns and Year One, and Cynthia Erivo's tweets about black American culture.

Phillip and Eric are the first part of a rewatch of Sam Raimi's infamous Spider-Man 3 starring Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst and featuring Sandman, Venom, Green Goblin, Gwen Stacey, and too many subplots. Plus he bashes Phillip for taking the time to watch Captain America: Brave New World, but won't take the time to watch superhero movies and tv shows that are actually good, let alone good movies.

Phillip and Eric are talking the manga adaptation of famed cosmic horror writer HP Lovecraft's short story, The Shadow Ove Innsmouth, by Gou Tanabe and published by Dark Horse. They talk adapting Lovecraft's purple prose to a visual medium, Tanabe's mesmerizing art, and how Phillip thinks he should get the day off for 9/11.

Phillip and Eric conclude their rewatch commentary on the final part of the Arrowverse crossover, Crisis on Earth-X. They also talk about House on Mango Street, Love Actually, and the cost of American weddings vs European ones.
