A discussion on the death bed confession of Marine Lieutenant Colonel Marion M. “Black Mac” Magruder, who, before passing away in 1997, told several family members that he and other students of the Air War College in Alabama were flown to Wright Field in Ohio in late July 1947, because military superiors wanted their opinion on something.
