Dr. Rui is the Director of Music-in-Medicine and Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. In this fascinating episode, we learn the science behind the healing properties of music, the data that proves playing music increases sensitivity as opposed to doom-scrolling that decreases sensitivity, and the different ways music has an impact on cognitive and behavioral functions.
