How much is your word really worth?

Integrity is easy when honoring a commitment is convenient. The true test comes when circumstances change and keeping your promise becomes difficult, expensive, or no longer fits your plans.

In this podcast, Bruce Whipple discusses a situation involving someone who made a clear written commitment and later attempted to end it because his priorities had changed. Bruce explains the difference between requesting a mutually agreed modification and unilaterally deciding that a commitment no longer applies.

You will also learn why your reputation may be worth far more than the money you save by breaking an agreement, and why sellers, investors, lenders, board members, and business partners will judge you by what you do when keeping your word costs you something.
