Ep. 59: Porn v Reality

This week Chris and Si are playing the TB&J Dungeon Master Draft – Video Game Characters Edition. A game inspired by drafts in American sports, Chris and Si pick video game characters to complete their fantasy dungeon. Who would be the perfect urinal? Which character is the ultimate pain pig? And who on the fantasy lands would be able and willing to host such a cast of kinksters? Find out what we have come up with in this TB&J episode. In Joysticks this week, Si plays Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, a remake of the 2004 title which Si finds far superior to the newer games.

TB&J Podcast is back with a new format and Schedule! We're now running shorter but more frequent episodes alternating between “Tea episodes” (where we talk about what’s been happening in the world) and “Bag episodes” (where we talk about the kink scene or play kink-related games). Each week the boys will also take it in turns to play with their Joysticks! So in Tea today, why we were off for so long and Si’s recovery, . New UK and US Government leadership, the internet being demure and mindful, and the Olympics drama both on and off the field. And in Joysticks, Chris plays Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes, a collect-them-all JRPG where a bunch of unlikely heroes come together to defeat an evil empire. Sounds cliché? It probably was a little bit.

This week were delving into the realms of what if and asking, what if our favourite (mostly) video game brands made adult toys or other such equipment? We work out what style of toys different borderlands brands might make, what each console platform might be related to and even some game studios and how they would definitely monetise things. Meanwhile in Tea Chris quizzes us on the most common DnD character name and Si is having fun and games with 3D printer deliveries. Finally in Joysticks Chris is back on RimWorld whilst Simon finds that nostalgia isn't all its cracked up to be when it comes to some Old School Mario Kart.

a.k.a. Fun Hurty Stuff This week Si and Chris talk about corporal punishment, or maybe it's canes and paddles. But there's definitely nothing corporate about it (listen to the episode to find out what on earth I'm talking about here). So what's so fun about pain? In tea, Chris has a gripe about the German football team's new kit now, and Si shouts out to Mercury and Jory's Tiktok-a-thon for Trans Health (link here). And for joysticks, Chris completes the Phoenix Wright Trilogy, while Si plays Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart locally.

This week Chris and Si are talking about some ... Movies. Videos. Ok we're definitely not turning into a movie podcast. But we are talking about the consumption of porn and maybe some unrealistic aspects of it. What do we think could be the best way out? Some disagreements? Maybe! For tea, Si covers the England football shirt "flag" controversy, while Chris reports on scientists removing HIV from cells. No kink this week, Chris and Si catch up on the Marvel stuff they've missed talking about in the last half a year and also on the Doctor Who specials. It's geekery all around! For tea, Si wants you to have a look at his side-project "For Whom It May Concern". And for joysticks, Chris is on his road to Baldur's Gate and Si plays Mario Kart: Double Dash on an old console.

This week Chris and Si take a look at the "Origin of Bears" (as claimed by The Advocate) and some of the other so-called "animals" found within the LGBT scene. Are they really a thing? How outdated are they? There's still no Five Minute Marvel this week because at time of recording Marvel titles were still struck works, we plan to have a catch up session at the start of the new year! For tea, Si is disappointed his holiday plans were thwarted by a volcano, while Chris had an unusual experience at the Sexual Health Clinic. a.k.a. What About No Nut November? This week Si and Chris are chatting about the past month, which they spent locked up in chastity. The highs and lows, the benefits and disadvantages, some things they have observed, and what they discovered about themselves. For tea, Chris celebrates Cyril Leroy, the founder and captain of the first gay French rugby team, who was honoured by World Rugby and Land Rover during the recent Rugby World Cup, while Si managed to have found another group of (mostly) non-kinky people who also celebrated some sort of "Locktober". This week Si and Chris are joined by Craig for The TB&J List: Chastity Special! Where we generate two random* pop culture characters and decide between them who is going to be locked for Locktober and who gets to keep the key! *(random-ish) For tea this week, Chris wonders why the British media has suddenly picked up on the term "situationship", and Si joins the chorus of complains when subs are told "Locktober is coming". In joysticks, Chris hasn't quite get round to exploring space in Starfield, and Si goes carting without the power-ups in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled.
