BB28 Devens Deep Dive Also available on YouTube. Big Brother 28 takes center stage in this “Devens Deep Dive” episode, as hosts Rob Cesternino and Taran Armstrong break down Rick Devens’ epic game run and the evolving strategies that shaped his journey through the BB28 house. They revisit the big questions, unearthed alliances, and bold moves that kept fans and houseguests guessing all season long. The episode dives into pivotal early weeks, starting with the “Icons” twist that sends Devens, Dee, and Angela straight into the BB spotlight and forces them to think fast for survival. The hosts and Devens walk through the anxiety and decisions that come from juggling new alliances like Red Corner, Crossovers, and the sometimes-chaotic Toolshed, with Devens sharing how he navigated unfamiliar ground and constant paranoia. The conversation follows the first few HoH reigns, including how Dee’s opening HoH and Devens’ own followed, as they worked to piece together which houseguests were loyal and who was eyeing a big move against them. Rob Cesternino highlights how Devens’ aggressive HOH turned a conservative first week into a big-house shakeup and the formation of the Toolshed alliance. Taran Armstrong points out how the Survivor players’ fast-paced style influenced strategic chaos, triggering last-minute flips and making “Waffle Wednesday” obsolete. The dynamics of keeping or targeting houseguests like Ashley, Taylor, and Melody spark vote-splitting and expose cracks in both alliances and social games. Devens shares behind-the-scenes moments about fake powers he planned to invent (but production wouldn’t allow), and about his sometimes shaky memory with houseguest names. The messiness of blindsides, shifting trust in Drew and Barrett, and surprises like the “Diamond Power of Veto” create whiplash for alliances and set up major jury management questions. As the alliances splinter and new deals surface each eviction, everyone is left wondering: Did Devens and his allies pick off the right threats at the right moment, or did the blindside era just set up new dangers down the line? Hear the full story as Rick Devens takes you through every twist and turn on this deep exploration of BB28 gameplay. Drew Basile Talks Survivor 51 Ep 5 Also available on YouTube! A high-stakes power shift rocks Survivor 51 as Rob Cesternino is joined by special guest Drew Basile for an in-depth recap and analysis of Episode 5. The “Recap” series returns with thoughtful takes and playful banter, shining a spotlight on a dramatic tribal council that leaves alliances shattered and gameplay theories turned upside down. This week, Rob and Drew break down one of the most polarizing moves yet—when Kilby and Lewis burn the extra vote advantage to flip the script and keep themselves safe, forcing their competitors into a game-changing decision. The conversation covers every angle, from whether this was a strategic triumph or a risky blunder, to broader questions around Survivor 51’s “permanent uncertainty” era where players never know what twists might be thrown next. Drew also draws comparisons to icons like Rick Devens and analyzes how tactics like “gumption” and maintaining a non-threatening persona can shape the jury’s perception. Beyond strategy, the duo debates the impact of casting decisions, the evolving role of social and physical attributes in modern Survivor, and how past seasons inform today’s gameplay. – The tribal standoff where Kilby and Lewis cash in their extra votes and force a new majority – Drew’s hot take: flipping the coin is the new “car curse”—can that player ever actually win? – Whether Kilby’s “fearless” approach and chaotic energy are assets or liabilities for his endgame prospects – Maggie’s call to use both her extra votes—crafty gameplay or too bold too soon? – Why this season’s women are drawing votes for being “quadruple threats,” and what it reveals about Survivor casting now As Survivor 51’s alliances splinter and the open era’s twists keep piling up, Rob and Drew ask: can any move be truly optimal, or are the game’s shifting sands too wild to master? Which underdog alliance will emerge at the merge, and who will fall victim to “permanent uncertainty” next?
