NICE has recommended teplizumab for NHS use — the first treatment to delay the onset of symptomatic type 1 diabetes by an average of nearly three years. In this episode, we speak to Lucy Chambers, Head of Research Impact and Communications at Diabetes UK, and Amy Norman, whose daughter Imogen accessed teplizumab through a managed access programme after being identified through the ELSA screening study.
