Riddles, Puzzles, & Problems: A little Comma Sense

Once again, Max is presented with a choice by Mr. Conklin (a secret Troublesome Troll)... rat out the other Problem Solvers and he’ll bring back ice cream.  However, Max is able to pull a fast one and escape Conklin’s clutches. Then, using his knowledge of History, he pays a visit to Jacob Fussel, the grandfather of American ice cream.  Could Max bring back ice cream on his own?  Meanwhile, Aunt M. and Molly are hot on his trail – knowing there could be trouble ahead!

After encountering a strange creature, Max & Molly go back in time to the San Diego Zoo in 1923.  There they discover a zookeeper had once tried to make all the animals seem more frightening to lure in curious customers. This includes the guinea pig with fake fangs in its mouth that they discovered! While there, they help the zoo owner with a problem. But when the devious Mr. Conklin shows up, the Problem Solvers become separated by space and time!

This time the Troublemaking Trolls are looking to turn Pleasantville, NY into Fartsville, USA, courtesy of an indigestible carbohydrate called raffinose. In a surprise move, Mr. Conklin comes to Max and tries to recruit him over to the Troll’s side! In return for joining the Trolls and handing over the Time Radio and names of other Problem Solvers – Mr. Conklin will reluctantly bring back ice cream.  But if Max refuses, the Trolls will un-invent soccer.  Max finds himself at a real crossroads where no decision has a good outcome!  What will he choose?
