Simple is Hard

Awakening doesn’t ask us to erase our humanity. It shows us what our humanity looks like when it’s in step with nature, when we’re aligned within and cooperation comes more naturally. So what remains of a human being living from wholeness?

We keep looking for the spectacular. The breakthrough, the opening, the moment that changes everything. Because part of us is hoping for another life. A different reality than the ordinary one we’re standing in right now. This monthly gathering is about what happens when we stop reaching past our life for another one. Not turning away from what’s actually here. Simple, yes, but not easy.

In this online meeting, Susanne explores the evolving dynamics of teacher–student relationships in spiritual spaces, with particular attention to projection, idealization, and the subtle ways personal authority can be surrendered. Drawing on the insight “don’t mistake the finger for the moon,” the conversation examines how genuine realization is often confused with external figures, and how both students and teachers are invited into a more mature and balanced relationship with guidance. The meeting also reflects on a broader collective shift toward self responsibility and inner authority, while still honoring the value of learning from others. Together, participants explore how to engage spiritual teaching in ways that support sovereignty, discernment, and healthy, integrated spiritual growth.
