L'esercito giapponese riesce finalmente nel difficile scopo di conquistare le fortificazioni di Port Arthur. Tuttavia la guerra a terra finirà per divenire uno stallo. Lo scontro fra i due imperi verrà deciso in una delle battaglie navali più importanti della storia. Le conseguenze dell conflitto russo-giapponese avranno ripercussioni geopolitiche di lunghissimo termine.
