After almost being totally distracted from Mailbag again by some Spice Girls anecdotes, David and Joe eventually manage to pull some post out of the bag. Joe’s back in a hotel after doing some filming yesterday, so feeling a little a little out of sorts being away from home. He’s also come up with a new section idea for the pod and really wants to talk to David about it. But first he needs to explain about a pair of expensive trousers that he really liked but was reluctant to buy, which leads to a lot of analysis from David and a real downward spiral from Joe. Then David recounts a country lane stand-off he had the other day, where he behaved very valiantly indeed! Our Dragon’s Den pitching session continues, with the Patreons battling it out to impress David and Joe with their great ‘new section’ ideas. There’s also a surprise appearance from friend of the show, screenwriter Neil Forsyth, who has a couple of ideas for them too. Soon after starting today’s show, Joe remembers that his brother’s had a new section idea for the pod and messages him to get the full details. So while they await the reply, David decides to send out a message to the Chatabix Patreons to ask if they have any ideas too and would like to join them on Zoom for a Dragon’s Den style pitching session. The only problem is, he sends the link out to everyone which very quickly results in a complete pile-on of potential Patreon contestants. Let the chaos commence! It seems that David’s curiosity about Joe’s sinister farm has not yet been satisfied. So in this episode, he encourages Joe to re-open the case files and probe further into the (potentially) murky underworld of this very suspicious rural hideaway. After some further internet hunting and exploring on Google maps, Joe is even inspired to return to the actual location to take another look. Their True Crime investigation is really hotting up!
