Ross Hall and me recorded a podcast this evening about the Hearts game that morphed into a discussion about recruitment and where it may have gone wrong (and that pod will be up for Subcribers this week). We finish the pod.Ross goes off to read badtime stories and I go to make a cup tea. Then what starts as a trickle of whatsapps from informed friends soon turns into an avalanche and at 9:44pm Celtic release a statement confirming the departure of Brendan. Alan Rough - where do we start.For younger listeners he’s the light hearted pundit. After arriving late because I was watching my mate come 4th for over 55s in the Glasgow Half Marathon, I made my own mad dash across the city to watch our beloved hoops and good ness I wasn’t expecting that!A goal in the first half of a game. Conceeding 2 goals to go behind and then coming from behind to score including an injury time winner. Gotta love football.Also, there was the unusual sight of an anti-board banner in the main stand. It was facing out towards the main stand and not the board who would have been around 6 ft away.We won. There’s a lot going on at Celtic and for those asking “where’s your fan protest podcast?” like Christmas it’s coming. We want to ensure there’s a breadth of voices and opinions on this and Ross has had a cold so his voice wasn’t fit for recording and others have been busy so getting a date for all has been difficult - but it’s coming.Meantime, Celtic commence their Europa League against Crvena Zvezda (formerly Red Star Belgrade).
