Sarah was raised on a farm in the North East of the UK and always had a fascination with the emotional connection that working folk had with their day to day clothing. Although practicality is of utmost importance, workwear is often cherished and highly valued by those people that live and work in what they wear.

This emotive connect formed the basis of her highly acclaimed Graduation collection from Hallam University in Sheffield.

After having just a day working in London with a large UK retailer, the pandemic forced Sarah to travel back home to Whitby. It was there she created her own upcycling brand TOM-O which is dedicated to saving clothes from landfill, TOM-O works with existing fabrics and garments to explore the potential of unloved and unworn clothing.

In the show we hear about how she feels that she's finally found her creative calling and even how she managed to secure some rail space in one of the Worlds finest retail stores....Selfridges, Oxford Street.

Sarah's mantra is "Creating positive Fashion, patch by patch" and you can see more of her work by visiting her website www.TOM-O.com
