186/How to Stay Calm and Make Decisions When Everything Feels Overwhelming
The past few weeks have felt like a lot!
At 38 weeks pregnant, we found ourselves navigating a broken vehicle, a washing machine that couldn’t be repaired, a sick toddler, me being sick — and a big financial decision, all at once.
And while it would have been easy to spiral, this season actually became a real-life example of self-leadership.
In this episode of Your Next Best Move, I’m sharing how we stayed grounded, made clear decisions, and moved through a high-stress season without burning out.
We’ll talk about:
- Why trying to solve everything at once creates more overwhelm
- How focusing on one problem at a time brings clarity
- The role of communication and shared decision-making in hard seasons
- How I asked myself what I needed to make a confident decision — and built support around that
- Why some decisions are worth making now to protect your future mental space
- The mindset shift that helped us stay calm: these were problems we could solve
This episode isn’t about doing everything perfectly.
It’s about slowing down, getting clear, and leading yourself through real life — especially when things feel heavy.
If you’re in a season where multiple things feel like “a lot,” this is your reminder: you don’t have to solve everything at once.
You just need your next best move.
Rooting for you always!!
