WEEK 2: XFL COVER CAST

Week 4 Cover Cast reviews the XFL week 3 victories by the L.A. Wildcats, Dallas Renegades, Houston Roughnecks, and St. Louis Battlehawks. Host MJ Cropper ''The Swamp Dane” goes into the week 4 preview with comments on the the improving play, the oncoming stakes of the records of each team, the struggles of New York and Seattle, and the major face-off between the two Texas teams in the TexFL’s “Texas Throwdown.” Week 4 has the losing teams New York Guardians and DC Defenders looking for answers after their latest respective games threaten their team’s aspiration for a successful season. Seattle will also look for answers in the Battledome, home of the St. Louis Battlehawks. Also, Dallas will host the first battle of the Texas rivals.  Los Angeles tries to sustain its new found success in New York and Tampa Bay will try to neutralize the Defenders who are on the road again. Storylines continue on the progressing season as the team's get ever closer to the halfway mark. As week 5 approaches, expect better quarterback play and execution and more exciting plays by the XFL's rising stars. Week 2 Cover Cast reviews the XFL week 1 victories by the DC Defenders, New York Guardians, Houston Roughnecks, and St. Louis Battlehawks. The Daneman goes into the week 2 preview with comments on the referees, the playcalling, the tv ratings, and other successful signs of week 1. Week 2 has all the winning teams against each other and all the losing teams facing each other. Seattle and Los Angeles will hosts their first games.  St. Louis and Tampa Bay are on the road again. Quarterbacks are coming back and some are now injured for week 2, it is the XFL quarterback injury carousel. All in all, the XFL is fun and exciting and ESPN does a great job of adding to the promotion and presenatation of the league.  The league looks strong for week 2! ESPN and SEC network personality Cole Cubelic joins the Swamp Dane in conversation about early XFL impressions and the XFL offensive line play. Mr. Cubelic is known to SEC fans through his radio career in Alabama and his work with the SEC network.  He is also known to analyze and break down film on offensive lineman which can often be seen on social media. Mr Cubelic's playing career was highlighted by his 4 years with the Auburn Tigers as a War Eagle offensive center and finished with a bachelor in communication and media studies. On this episode 7 and 3 of the Rivalry Ruckus, the Daneman covers and reflects on the emphatically successful first weekend of the Houston Roughnecks and the opening game in Arlington's Global Life Field. The Houston Roughnecks opened the first day of the XFL inaugural season at 4pm inTDECU Stadium on the Univeristy of Houston campus against the Los Angeles Wildcats and prevailing to a 37-17 victory igniting a Houston fanbase and a job-loss for the defensive coordinator Pepper Johnson of the Wildcats.  Temple's Pj Walker and Hawkeye James Butler shined on offense for the Roughnecks.  Sam Mobley and Cam Phillips gave the Roughneck quarterback scoring targets on the day. In Arlington, in newly renovated Global Life Park, the Renegades were not as successful on offense in Hal Mumme's Air Raid offense. The Daneman takes this perfomance and insinuates that the running offenses in the league will sustain success and wonders if Bob Stoops will make appropriate adjustments on the field before getting and #RaisingHell from the fanbase.
