The team's first assignment has gone off the rails almost immediately. As Gary works alongside Sister Quarrel to investigate the threat plaguing Weft, the rest of the team begins following paths of their own. Pearl and Lune uncover unsettling signs in the depths of the Clutching Woods, while Sisna's search for her missing companions finds her swept away into a mystery of her own.
