Buy something for $10, sell it for $30, pocket the profit. That's the version of Amazon reselling you see all over social media. But it leaves out the part that actually decides whether your business grows: how long it takes to get your cash back.     In this episode of Silent Sales Machine Radio, Jimmy Smith walks through the real cash flow cycle of an Amazon reselling business, from the day you swipe the card to the day Amazon disburses your money. He breaks the whole timeline down step by step (waiting on the supplier, prepping and shipping, Amazon receiving your inventory, selling through, and the disbursement hold) and explains why most sellers land around a 90 day cycle, turning their money over about four times a year.     You'll hear why product selection is the foundation the whole cycle rests on, how tools like Keepa and 3P Mercury help you buy the right items in the first place, and a few practical ways to speed the cycle up, including fulfilled by merchant, tighter prep and ship times, and jumping on the best buying opportunities and discounts the moment they appear. Jimmy also puts the numbers in perspective: most investments report an annual return, so being able to cycle your capital every few months is a real advantage when you buy well (these are averages, not guarantees, and your results will vary with your products and pace).   If cash flow has felt like a mystery, this episode gives you a clear map of what to actually expect.     Special guest at the conclusion of today's show, Jeff Schick of JeffSchick.com answers the question: "Can Jeff help me with trademarks and LLC establishment?" You've probably heard that you need $10,000 to start selling on Amazon. In this episode of Silent Sales Machine Radio, Jimmy Smith explains where that number comes from, why it's true for one path, and why it doesn't have to be true for you.   Jimmy has been selling on Amazon since 2015, and he breaks down the real reason private label carries that big price tag: overseas manufacturing runs, prep, software, advertising, and reorders all stack up before you ever turn a profit. Then he lays out the model this community actually recommends for new sellers, reselling through arbitrage and wholesale, where you can get started with around a thousand dollars and spread your risk across dozens of products instead of betting it all on one.   You'll hear why starting small and testing many products beats going all in on a single item, how tools like Keepa and 3P Mercury help you read a product's real selling history before you buy, and why having too much cash early can actually work against a new seller. Jimmy also walks through some simple, honest math on how small tests can average out (results are never guaranteed, but the examples show why lower risk matters so much when you're learning).   If you've been sitting on the fence wondering whether you can even afford to start, this episode is for you.   Watch this episode on our YouTube channel here: https://youtu.be/Lj2EC1_dORs   Resources mentioned: Try 3P Mercury for $1 for 30 days: askjimmysmith.com/3pm Group and one-on-one coaching: silentjim.com/coaching     Show note LINKS:   SilentJim.com/bookacall - Schedule a FREE, customized and insightful consultation with my team or me (Jim) to discuss your e-commerce goals and options.   My Silent Team Facebook group. 100% FREE! Finding leads feels like progress. But a pile of leads sitting in your database does nothing for your business until you actually buy something and send it in.   In this episode of Silent Sales Machine Radio, Jimmy Smith breaks down one of the most common patterns he sees after years of training Amazon sellers: people get great at finding leads, then freeze when it comes time to buy. He explains why that happens, both the practical side of filtering a huge lead list down to the best opportunities, and the mental side of being scared to make a purchase and get it wrong.   You'll hear why 10 leads you actually buy will beat 10,000 leads you never touch, how to think about the small cost of a lesson when a buy doesn't work out, and a simple daily rhythm you can use to keep momentum going: one hour finding leads, one hour buying.   Jimmy also shares his starting markers for newer sellers, why breaking even can still be a win when you're learning, and how to lean on the community when you're not sure about a product.   If you've been building your list but haven't been pulling the trigger, this episode is for you.   Special guest at the conclusion of today's show, Jeff Schick of JeffSchick.com answers the question: "If I don't have Jeff's team on retainer, can they still help me? What if running your whole Amazon sourcing process came down to one thing: just log in?   In this episode of Silent Sales Machine Radio, Jimmy Smith sits down with Khang Dang, the creator of 3P Mercury, to walk through a wave of new updates and where the tool is headed next. Khang breaks sourcing into four parts (finding listings, finding the sources for them, analyzing them, and tracking them) and shows how 3P Mercury is now automating each step so you spend less time clicking and more time deciding what to buy.   You'll hear about the new Lead Finder and the Auto Source feature, how the AI goes out and looks across the open web to match listings to real suppliers, how the MERC scoring system pre-analyzes leads before you ever look at them, and why Khang thinks the biggest challenge for sellers could soon be simply having enough capital to act on everything the tool surfaces. They also tackle a fair question every seller asks: if everyone runs the same filters, does that tank prices? Khang explains why he isn't worried, and what still separates the best sellers even in an AI-driven world.   Whether you sell retail arbitrage, online arbitrage, or wholesale, this conversation is a clear look at where sourcing is going.   Special guest at the conclusion of today's show, Jeff Schick of JeffSchick.com answers the question: "What are the realities of Amazon suspensions and reinstatements?"   Watch this episode on our YouTube channel here: https://youtu.be/kwodDEG77I0   Show note LINKS:   Want to try 3P Mercury? "It's too late to start on Amazon." You've heard it. You may have said it to yourself. It's the number one reason people research for six months and never send a single shipment.   In this episode, we take that fear apart. We get to the truth about what has actually changed on Amazon, what hasn't, and why "too late" is almost always "too scared."   In this episode: • Where the "too late" feeling really comes from, and why it shows up every single year • What actually changed on Amazon, and the part nobody mentions that still works in your favor • Why the fees-went-up, everyone's-already-doing-it story falls apart the moment you look closer • The small, low-risk way to start that takes the pressure off   If you've been waiting for the perfect moment, this one's for you.   Want access to our flagship Amazon software for $1 for 30 days?
