Instead of avoiding discomfort or taking action to make it stop, you direct the spotlight of attention inward, locate where the urge or emotion is felt in the body, zoom in with detailed observation, and simply stay with it without trying to change it. “I can’t take it anymore” is an illusion created by the mind, and this technique proves it.
