As a result, Harena believes it can move from development to production more rapidly and at a potentially lower capital cost than many competing rare earth projects. The company is currently targeting initial production within approximately 20 to 24 months. A key component of the DFC partnership involves co-funding the construction of an onsite pilot plant and laboratory in Madagascar. Murphy explained that these facilities will allow the company to demonstrate, under real operating conditions, the same concentration and extraction processes that have already been successfully validated through independent laboratory testing. The pilot plant is expected to serve as a critical bridge between laboratory-scale validation and full-scale commercial production. Successful operation of the pilot facility would provide important technical data, support future financing discussions and help de-risk the project for potential strategic partners and investors. Looking ahead, Murphy identified completion of the pilot plant and laboratory as the company's most important objectives over the next two quarters. First Graphene commercial manager Neil Armstrong talked with Proactive about the company’s first production purchase order from Australian manufacturer Pacific Urethanes for PureGRAPH® graphene, which will be used in polyurethane systems targeting fire-retardant applications in the mining industry. Armstrong said the order represents an important first commercial step following around two years of development work by the customer, including extensive testing against the standards required to bring the technology to market. He explained that graphene can contribute to fire-retardant performance by forming a physical barrier that helps protect the underlying material. When combined with traditional non-halogenated fire-retardant additives, Armstrong said PureGRAPH® can help formulations achieve required fire performance at lower additive loadings. hVIVO PLC (AIM:HVO) chief executive Yamin 'Mo' Khan spoke with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's results for the first half of 2026, its record order book, full-year guidance and the expansion of its clinical research services. Khan said hVIVO generated around £16.3 million in revenue in H1, alongside an EBITDA loss of £4.5 million, ending the period with £13 million in cash, a performance in line with the company's previous guidance that 2026 would be weighted towards the second half. A key focus was the order book. Three sizeable human challenge trial contracts, including hVIVO's first pivotal Phase 3 trial with ILiAD, took it to £65 million at the end of June, rising to £72 million including CRS Berlin, acquired in Q3. "This is the highest record order book in the company's history," Khan said, noting it was calculated using a stricter, more conservative methodology and provides visibility into the rest of 2026 as well as 2027 and 2028. For the full year, hVIVO expects second-half revenue to almost double versus H1, targeting £47 million and a low single-digit EBITDA loss, with the company expecting to turn EBITDA positive during H2. Honey Badger Silver CEO Chad Williams joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share news the company is taking significant steps toward unlocking value from two of its key northern Canadian assets, advancing plans to restart the historic PC Silver Mine in the Northwest Territories while expanding exploration efforts at its Nanisivik Project on Baffin Island, Nunavut. Williams explained that the PC Silver Mine is a rare asset because it already contains an extensive processing facility that was substantially completed in 1982 but never entered commercial operation. The facility has remained largely intact and well preserved for decades after the project was mothballed when silver prices declined. According to Williams, replacing the existing infrastructure today would likely cost at least $300 million and require several years to construct. As a result, understanding which components of the facility can be efficiently reused is expected to play a critical role in determining both the economics and timeline of a potential restart. Tusk Automation has begun an on-site assessment of the facilities, with fieldwork expected to be completed by the end of September and a final report anticipated by late November. While the study's findings will not be available in time to be incorporated into the company's upcoming Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA), Honey Badger expects the work to provide engineering-level information suitable for inclusion in a future feasibility study. The company's broader objective is to accelerate the restart of the PC Silver Mine by leveraging the substantial infrastructure already in place and capitalizing on the decades of development work previously completed at the site. In addition to advancing the PC project, Honey Badger has completed its 2026 field exploration program at the Nanisivik Project, a historic mining district located on Baffin Island in Nunavut. The program builds on encouraging exploration results generated in 2025 and focuses on two emerging opportunities identified by the company. The first is an extensive massive-pyrite system that management believes may host additional valuable mineralization. The second is the potential for silver, zinc, lead and critical mineral enrichment located outside the historically mined areas. The 2026 campaign was specifically designed to improve the company's understanding of these targets using modern geological and analytical techniques.
