Chinese President Xi Jinping’s upcoming visit with President Trump is expected to include discussions about the war with Iran and efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The U.S. has pressured China over its financial ties to Tehran and purchases of Iranian oil, with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent saying Iran will be an important issue at the summit. China says it supports peace in the region and has called for the Strait to be reopened, but experts remain uncertain about how much Beijing will get involved. Dan discussed all of this with Iranian-American freelance journalist Jalil Mortazavi.
