Host Evie Stokes talks to KEXP DJ Chilly about Seattle band TURIAN and the harrowing story behind their song “Chemical Bath.” The song is written in tribute to Carmelita Torres, who is credited for starting the 1917 bath riots on the border of Mexico and the United States. TURIAN’s album Blood Quantum Blues is out now via Wise Blood Records.
