All things aero, to patch or not patch tubes and more mountain bike dilemmas

In this week's episode, the boys talk about a cheaper alternative to chamois cream, Enzo gives an update on his Onirii cable pull hydraulic brakes and Bob has a little tangle with the law.

So Bob, who now lives in Scotland tells us about competing in a mountain bike race with zero preparation and Enzo has bought an upgrade to his old school cable pull disc brakes. But are they any good?

So, after a bit of a hiatus, Enzo and Bob return with more cycle related chat and talk about what to expect over the months ahead.

Bob and Enzo have finally bought an old bike each, one from the 1980s and one with magic gear changes. Enzo quizzes Bob on his knowledge of bike brands and Bob races his tandem up a hill.

Bob and Enzo are back chatting about their love of cycling. Sounds like both could be about to buy new bikes, but it's not what you might think. They discuss things that might not be known about the miracle fabric that is Merino wool and Enzo tells Bob that he is about to go meet Napoleon Bonaparte!

Bob and Enzo return to talk all things bicycles. Enzo tells Bob how he swerved a recent cycle event. Bob wonders if a return to 26inch mountain bike wheels would be a good thing and the pals both have a set of clip on aero bars, which will turn them into TT champs. Probably.

In this latest episode of the Just Riding About podcast, Bob reveals all about a new bike purchase. Enzo is quizzed on his knowledge of bottle cages and the boys discuss the benefits, or not, of trying to look good on your bike.

The two pals talk cycling once more, though one of them is slightly bruised and battered after a tumble. Bob offers a couple of ideas for beating the cold and Enzo chips in with one sure fire way of keeping warm on your bike. Both are quite disillusioned with electronic groupsets and wonder what all the fuss is about.

Both Bob and Enzo have some impending cycle events but preparations aren't going quite to plan.  The pals also discuss the state of their tyres and the roads during this time of the year.

In this episode, Enzo laments the decline of rim brakes and Bob wonders if there is a need for specialist cycle cleaning tools, despite having a cupboard full!
