The biggest IPO ever might be happening in 2026. That's right, SpaceX and Elon Musk are confirming rumors that the company plans to go public next year. The latest valuation in private markets was $800B, making SpaceX the world's most valuable private company. The IPO valuation is rumored to be $1.6T, but I still think that's way too low. This 180 pivot from never IPOing to listing ASAP has been inspired by AI datacenters. It appears as if Elon Musk has decided that this will be SpaceX's next big business. This is so exciting! Elon Musk offered some fascinating insight into the SpaceX IPO and their partnership with Tesla at the shareholder meeting. While SpaceX remains private, and Elon Musk has often dismissed the prospect of doing a traditional IPO ... he seemed to be leaning in that direction for the first time at the 2025 Tesla shareholder meeting. Beyond a SpaceX IPO or direct investments, it's clear that Tesla and SpaceX will have a big partnership. Optimus is the first cargo going to mars, and will be building infrastructure for humans. He also mentioned a dune buggy/rover built by Tesla for the Moon or maybe Mars. What are your thoughts on this partnership? The results are in! Tesla has released it's Q3 2025 financials results and shareholder letter. It was a record quarter with $28B in revenue, $5B in gross profit and $1.6B in operating income. After touring the startup Starcloud today in Redmond, WA (video coming!!) I couldn't help but take a step back to think about the Space Economy .... SpaceX's Starship is on the cusp of radically decreasing the cost and capacity of launching things into space. This will unlock an entire ecosystem of new companies and economies. Starship is the railroads for space, and Starlink is the connectivity.
