On my mother's 63rd birthday, my family and I visited her gravesite.
It was in this moment, after not having been there in years, that I realized I had learned SO much in the last 8 years since losing my mother to suicide.
From being angry with her, to forgiving her, to learning about her, to thanking her.
What I know for sure: Traumatic events can either negatively affect you, or evolve you. I'm proud to say I have grown immensely during this time and in this episode, I break down my 10 personal life lessons about life, relationships, people, and trauma.
You'll want to listen if:
You find yourself not knowing how to navigate difficult times, if you think life will NEVER get better, OR you have someone in your life who seems to always impede on your mental health and cause you anger or rage.
