Ep -394: Phantasm IV: Oblivion.

It's Halloween time so what better way to celebrate than to have the FM3 finally do an episode on Robert Zombie's "House Of 1000 Corpses! Jef, Josh and Brian have talked about this early 2000's flick many, many times but have never given it the old "Forever Midnight Massage". When folks think about movies that really encapsulate the whole "Halloween" vibe, this movie is usually on that list, at least when it comes to the lists of these two balds and a long hair. So grab a mask and a treat pail, it's time to hit the streets in search of candy, mischief and probably some murder! Happy Halloween from your friends at Forever Midnight Podcast!

The FM3 are back this week and guess what?! They are rollin' in Reggie's CUDA one last time! That's right, Jef, Josh and Brian are finishing up the Sphere Series with the last installment 2016's "Phantasm: Ravager" AKA "Phantasm 5".  What can number 5 hold for the boys? Will there be one last standoff with Reggie and The Tallman? Will Mike be ok after spilling his Coscarelli Queso from his dome in the last movie? Will Reggie finally get the girl? What kind of kick assery is Rocky gonna start kickin'? Hit play and find out with The number one horror podcast on The Tallman's red planet!

In this episode, the FM3 tackle another long awaited Top Dawg Patreon pick "American Psycho"! Jef, Josh and Brian talk about this layered and beloved classic while also going on a couple of tangents as per usual. The crew talks about the many theories about who and what Patrick Bateman really is and what he has really done. It's a fun conversation and you should hit play now and listen!

In this episode Jef, Josh and Brian head to the movie theater to check out Zach Cregger's newest film "Resident Evil" on the big screen! They loved Zach's other films and at the same time were weary because this was from a huge franchise while his other films were small original movies. But the FM3 had faith that it might be good since both Weapons and Barbarian were so cool. So hop in the car as the crew heads to Raccoon City to see what all the hubbub is about. Maybe they will get to see some nasty lumpy bump creatures, or at least that's what they are hoping for.

In a rare move Jef, Josh and Brian decided to continue chipping away at the Phantasm franchise, back to back even! This time around the guys are talking about 1998's Phantasm 4: Oblivion! Luckily for the crew Reggie, Mike, Jody and the Tallman are all back for this phunky 90's sequel. Like it or loathe it or however you slice it (with a sphere saw blade) this flick gives the fans more of what they really wanted and that was more of the Morningstar Mob! Now come slip into your best ice cream man jammies, grab your favorite quad barrel shotgun and dive into the coffin portal once again with Forever Midnight!

In this episode the FM3 are back in the hearse yet again! Still mourning the passing of the one and only Reggie Bannister, The guys saddle up to watch the action packed and super fun Phantasm 3! This threequel is packed with so many of Jef, Josh and Brian's favorite things that it is hard to deny that it is nothing short of a masterpiece! Reggie is in full "Hero Mode" in this addition to the franchise and he might be the single coolest bald movie hero ever! There was much to talk about so the crew chatted for a while and were having a blast recording this episode! So listeners, shine your spheres, slide into your best funeral attire and grab some nun-chucks because it's time to visit the Tallman again!

It's that time again! Time for the FM3 to open up the Voicemail Vault to hear from all of the wonderful listeners. Who knows what stories or secrets lurk or what questions will be asked when they hit play? One thing is for sure, it's gonna be an adventure! So fasten your safety belt listeners it's time for Listener Voicemail #10! If you would like to leave us a voicemail for a future episode you should call 707-327-2984, now enjoy the show!

This week the FM3 get back in the hearse with the Tall Man celebrating Reggie Bannister and the Phantasm films. But something  is amiss, the reality the guys know is now filled with even more lurkers, grave diggers, spheres and yep even telekinetic kids. Plus this installment has lots of influences from everyone's favorite horror movies of the time as well as Don Coscarelli's signature weirdness. Sure they might not have fully stuck the landing on this one but Jef, Josh and Brian have faith and know it was almost certainly the pesky studio heads. Regardless the crew has a Phantasm 3 episode coming soon and the Tall Man's silver balls are gonna be swangin' !

In this episode the FM3 are transported back to a hellish existence, the good old bad old west. One of the podcasts Top Dawg Patreon patrons chose the folk horror film "Bone Tomahawk" for Jef, Josh and Brian to watch and chew on like some dusty old jerky. This film is both well done and realistically brutal which is a testament to the director, cast and crew. If you love your horror with a cowboy hat, a splash of blood and guts and some fire roasted pork and beans then this is the movie you have been waiting for. Enjoy!

In honor of the late great Reggie Bannister, The FM3 decided it was just the right time to head over to Morningstar funeral home and pay their respects. A collective favorite and classic horror film the crew couldn't believe they had waited this long to start doing episodes on this trippy ass franchise. Don Coscarelli with a devoted cast & crew with very little money and some crazy ideas truly made their mark in horror and introduced the world to one of the coolest villains and one of the best horror heroes ever! Reggie truly lived and died and lived again by the old saying "Ice cream business in the front, blasting space lurkers in the back". His friend Jody was cool too but he had too much hair maybe was just kicking ass in a dream so does it count? Does it really count?  Regardless, listeners get ready because Jef, Josh and Brian are finally dipping their spheres into the Phantasm goo!
